Oooh, I'll need to do a list too.  This looks fun!

In the meantime, I totally know where I'm coming when Secret Santa 2012 comes up.   ;D

Okay, first go...

Brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts, travelling, planning travelling & holidays, rambling, cooking, baking, eating & drinking (lol!), hot & steamy weather, the scent of orange blossoms & night-blooming jasmine & magnolia wafted on warm humid breezes, the sound of palm tree fronds clattering in the breeze, warm sandy beaches, swimming in warm seas - like bath water, the smell of warm rain, Mexican food, margaritas, wine - especially red wine, champagne, cider, chocolate, people watching on the bus/at train stations or airports, bodies of water, being at the seaside, Lush, strength training, Amsterdam, Paris, Andalucia - Cadiz & Seville & Cabo de Gata, Morocco - especially Marrakech & Essaouira, Eiskaffe (coffee float over ice cream thing we had in Berlin & in Poland), picking up bits of different languages, making international friends, poetry, my homemade cinnamon rolls, PIZZA, tapas, BBQ, Dr Who, Torchwood, films & TV series based on literature, art films, foreign language films, picnics, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, North York Moors, York, Whitby, Filey, Cotwolds, tropical fruit, peaches & nectarines, blackberries & picking/foraging for blackberries, hubby's homemade jams, hot chili infused products, summer weather, laundry hanging on the line, smell of clean laundry, cats & dogs, manatees (including swimming with them), armadillos, alligators, ice cream, cake, aubergines, thunderstorms, hurricane-related weather, artichoke hearts, folksy-indie music, fireplaces, train travel, clear starlit moonlit nights (preferably warm) free of light pollution, wide open spaces, places free of crowds & going on long walks where you hardly meet any other people if any at all, solitude...

Tracey, I love Camera Obscura! I'm assuming you're referring to the band. If not, ignore me. :P

How could I possibly forget CANDLES!!! I always have candles burning. I had to laugh the other day...my English hubby walked into a room and I had a Yankee Candle Macintosh Spice burning and he said "It reminds me of New Hampshire" :( It is amazing how certain smells just remind you of certain places or memories. I can remember back in 2008 when New England was hit with that horrible ice storm. Hubby and I spent the first night with no power sitting snuggled on our couch, listening to our battery powered radio, cuddled in blankets and sleeping bags, kitties snuggled with us, and Home Sweet Home candles burning everywhere. It was cold, but it was our anniversary weekend...and quite romantic.

I remember that! My area of MA wasn't hit, but I remember it being all over the news. You're right though, that does sound romantic.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Anyone else humming "these are a few of my favourite things..."?
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.
