Yeah not my thing either (I can only take candy corn in small doses and I don't really like Oreos!) but I figured Mrs. R might appreciate since she does like candy corn!

Haha - I'd seen those, someone put up a pic on Facebook of those Oreos. I like candy corn & will have a bit, but I don't love it. The people I work with (native Brits) are crazy about it - it's candy crack to them. I probably would try those cookies though.  ;D

As of this moment I am still waiting for my fiance visa to go through, but it is giving me time to do some massive Halloween shopping. Halloween is my favorite holiday, always has been. When I was a kid I liked it way better than Christmas, so moving to a place that doesn't have that much Halloween stuff about (Guernsey) is kind of a big deal. I have been going to every single store and buying every Halloween thing that I like. I know it is going to cost a fortune to ship this stuff but I think it's worth it if I can't find the stuff at all over there. Is anybody else totally into Halloween?

Oh, I am SO into Halloween--it is also my favorite holiday! I love it so much I work in a Haunted House in Rochester. Can't wait for October, going to scare the crap out of people!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks these are vile looking!  ;D

Ha ha - I think one of our members has put this Candy Corn Oreos review link up on Facebook:

http://bites.today.com/_news/2012/09/10/13781565-from-just-wrong-to-super-sweet-today-tastes-candy-corn-oreos?lite

Hooray!!  Liking candy corn gets ya judged by the foodie set - yah baby!  ;D

"You can find Candy Corn Oreos in the Halloween aisle with their progenitors, but they don't work nearly as well for shoving on your teeth and pretending to be a vampire."

Exactly!  That is why I do love candy corn really - not for eating so much as for sticking on the ends of your teeth.  ;) :D

(though I go for a buck toothed look rather than vampire)

I hate when stores have Christmas stuff out when Halloween isn't even over. Thanksgiving is after! Christmas has become too much, I feel and is taking over the other holidays.

I LOVE Halloween! I turned up at work last year dressed as a construction worker with a hard hat and fake tool belt (I work a desk job in a small office) and got some very confused looks as nobody else was celebrating  :P. Am also generally disappointed by the comparatively small pumpkins for carving and lack of pick-yer-own farms, corn mazes, candy corn, and decent decorations.

Ocado (web-based grocery store) have some American candy and foodstuffs  :)

I don't like candy corn but I loved those peanut butter things that come in orange and black wrappers.  Most people think they are vile.

Hehehe, I have my Halloween decorations up in the windows. My daughter keeps seeing people stop and stare. Usually there are kids with them. I keep telling hubby I'm going to stick a sign in the front garden that says YES, a weird yank lives here....just keep walking. LMAO. I think its hysterical!

I love halloween!  I really wanted to do something fun for my daughter's first halloween but she's having surgery 2 days before so that's not possible.  Still we're going to a little party the week before and I've been working on her costume (woodland faerie) all day!  We also have decorations up in our windows : )

It's true that Halloween isn't nearly a big a deal as it is in the US but you can definitely buy lots of decorations and stuff here (like you described) just not the candy corn (agreed the oreos look bleck!).  My main contention is that they think "fancy dress" for halloween should always be scary and I've personally never had a scary costume!
