There is a missing poster at least once a week where I live.

Because letting your cat out in an area that is shaped like a small triangle where two edges are major A roads and the bottom border is a river where lots of drunk teenagers hang out is always a great idea.  ::)

Yeah, our first cat in the UK just totally disappeared one night. We were in a similar area to what you describe. We never found out what happened to her  :\\\'(

My vet does not recommend Frontline.  I used it two cats.  It didn't do anything to help Cat #1.  Cat #2 had a bad reaction to it within a few seconds (drooling, gagging).  I went back to Revolution (Stronghold) and all has been well since.  I also keep a package of Capstar around, just in case I see a flea.  It starts killing within 20 minutes, and gives 24 hours of protection.

I've got a special-needs cat who prefers to potty outside, and needs outdoor playtime, so flea control is a must for me.

The fleas in the house seem to be more dead than alive, so hopefully that's good news. I haven't seen one in two days now, I had seen maybe one a day before. I can treat the cat again with Advocate this weekend, hopefully we are towards the end of it. I have flea treated my house quite aggressively...I hope the little blighters are all dead now.
