I got mine!!   ;D ;D

I was a bit bouncy too...

I ran into J's parents at Starbucks and they thought I was nuts (nothing new there)  - but they really couldn't understand why anyone would like pumpkin anything.  And they wouldn't try a sip of it.  More for me! Wheee!

I'll send you one MeShell -- you can reheat when it gets the IOM!

Well I just had to see what all the hub-bub was about. Today DH and I went to the Frenchgate Center in Doncaster, so I said we'd have to stop at Starbucks so I could try a Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

The verdict:  YUMMY-YUM-YUM-YUM!

Oh my, it was absolutely delish. DH didn't even want to try it.  The only problem is, I want another one and there are no Starbucks nearby. Waaaaa!

Does anyone know how long they will have them?

I had one last Saturday and asked for half a squirt, bleugh!! It was way too sweet and fake tasting. I couldn't finish it.

I may try one today. We're off to Truro and that's our nearest Starbucks.

Well, I had my first ever pumpkin spiced latte today, and I have to agree with Olive:

I had one last Saturday and asked for half a squirt, bleugh!! It was way too sweet and fake tasting. I couldn't finish it.

That was tooth-achingly sweet! And I drink quite a lot of flavoured coffees, so it's not something that's new to my palate. It wasn't bad, just not as nice as I'd hoped it would be.

Plus, the actual flavour (sweetness aside) wasn't that different from Costa's gingerbread latte - only, as Olive said, a bit more fake tasting. And let's not start on the price! For a GIANT latte at Costa, I pay about £2.30. I bought a medium-sized (translated into that inane Starbuckspeak) latte today and it was £3.50. Ridiculous.

If I want flavoured coffee, I'll stick with Costa.

They must have seen me lying on the floor, sobbing for three Octobers in a row.  ;D I really missed pumpkin lattes, cappuccino and other lovely pumpkin things the whole time I was there.

Even though it made it there too late for me, I am overjoyed to know it is there now for everyone to enjoy.
