Was looking forward to seeing your snow stories- but no one has posted any!

We had nothing but a few passing showers....
We woke up to a coating on the cars and on the grass, none on the street or pavement though.  Around 11:00 it was coming down again and this time quite thickly, but I have no good stories about it due to being wrapped up in stressful phone calls all day (long story--XE Trade and my bank in the US).  I did make a quick trip to Morrisons in the snow while it was coming down and that was nice.  Hubby used the snow to take his students out looking for animal and bird tracks / paw prints.

A few flakes this morning, very light, but mostly a non-event.

The heavier snow yesterday morning fell for about 2-3 hours straight but it was so heavy and wet, & probably the ground surfaces still warm from the preceding milder weather - it took a long time for it to stick.  It's still patchy here & there, and the car park (solicitors office) behind my house is an ice skating rink right now.

Roll on spring!

Been snowing here since 3-4 pm ish. Very lightly at first, now steadier & starting to stick. Seems we might be in for a night/day of it.

Spoke to in-laws last night - they've been more or less snowed in, or rather iced in, this week. They live in rural village outside Norwich & got about 7 inches snow on Monday/Tuesday, plus it's been so cold that it all just froze on little roads all around their village. Anyway, they are staying put!

Wow--7 inches!

I texted my manager and told not to bother trying to make it in tomorrow (she takes a train and a bus to get to work!) if she wanted a day off I wouldn't mind.  I do need Saturday off so hoping there's no problem with transportation that day.  Looking forward to a snowy Friday even though I'm working!

We had about 4 cm of snow in Lincoln between Sunday and Monday and it was still lying on the ground when I left work yesterday afternoon (our maximum temperature at work yesterday was -4C).

I'm down in Bristol now and there's no snow lying here, but we dud have the odd flurry this afternoon. Expecting a lot more tonight and into tomorrow though!

DH and I went to Sainsburys tonight to do our weekly shop and we couldn't because there was nothing left to buy. It had been ransacked by everyone getting their pre-snow shopping in.

About 6-7 inches here, and they say the real snow won't start until lunchtime.

Absolutely gorgeous here! Love the fluffy white snow! I'd say we've got about 4 inches here. Worried about hubby driving home later, but at least he's out before the evening rush hour.

There's a good amount of snow outside. DH couldn't even drive off our estate, so he's had to stay home and work remotely.

A few inches (2-3, at a guess) on the ground here in SE Hertfordshire.  More to come later, but for now it has stopped.

I wore mascara when I went out, and discovered that it's not a good to idea to do so in blowing snow -- raccoon eyes are not a good look for me.  ::)

LOTS of snow here this morning - about 4 or 5 inches when we woke up, and it's still snowing. One bus company (Arriva) cancelled services this morn so far. *Some* people have made it in to work - including DH, but will they be able to get home? (He takes the train, but could walk, 6-7 miles, if he had to.)

Of course, poor Andee gave up her day off *again* to cover the shop for her manager.
