Longing for Culture and History
« on: October 23, 2012, 06:39:56 AM »
I am living in America currently and though there is rich geological history here there is drought of cultural history. That is why I loved my visit to London in 2008. I am planning another trip to Europe, this time without a tour group, and really want to get a feel for the not-so-known culture. I one day would love to move to the UK, though I really feel that I should complete my degree in International Studies before I depart. If at the very least I will have a degree so I would have more to offer.

Currently I am a customer sales representative for a cable company. In my spare time I work as a marketing consultant for three nonprofit organizations as well as an agent for a couple local talents here.

The trip I am planning next summer is with a couple of my close friends. We usually take trips within the US though this time we wanted to go visit our friend who is stationed in Spain. This trip is both for the adventure as well as a way for me to really get to know the area I have romanticized for so many years.

Here is to the start of a wonderful chapter in my life. Beginning of course with a few new friends.

Welcome to UKY!

Well to prepare you, you may get the barrage of questions on visas on how you plan to do so, spending an extended amount of time here before you move, etc, etc -

But I say dreams are brilliant and if you have one, when there's a will, there's a way.

Good luck to you!  :)
