Weather Channel in the UK?
« on: October 28, 2012, 08:36:22 AM »
Does anyone know if it's possible to watch the US Weather Channel here in the UK via my laptop?  I am really computer-illiterate regarding proxies, streaming, etc, so any advice would be helpful! My sister is in Philly and my extended family is in D.C. so I'd really like to be able to track what's happening over there during Sandy! Thank you!

I just watched a few minutes on TVPC.  You've got to wait through a 30 second ad, but after that it played fine:

Hope your family misses the worst of Sandy!

weather channel no, not w/o proxy server and other 'fixes'.

Just go to  a Philly TV website, and you will know everything as it happens.

Hope everyone's family is safe. My family is in NH and Mass and far enough away from the coast to not worry about storm surge. Still worry though especially about dad....he's on an oxygen machine and I always stress that they'll have no electricity longer than his tanks will last him.

Hoping everyone who is caught in the path of the storm is safe!

My family lives on the South Shore of Massachusetts, so it's possible they'll see some flooding, but the main concern is downed trees and power lines.  My dad is also a Firefighter in the area and is working tonight and all day tomorrow.

It's not good here at all. I somehow still have power but the wind is intense and it started flooding in the NYC area this morning well before it started to rain. Hope everyone's families in the affected areas are as lucky as my roommates and I have been so far!
