Sock monkeys, cats, rabbits, pigs and more!
« on: October 30, 2012, 01:22:44 PM »
Hiya,

I'm back in the UK after spending last winter in the south of France. Once again I'm travelling the canals of England in our narrowboat. Earlier this year I started to make sock monkeys for my grand-daughter. They were so much fun to make I've started a business selling them. You can find them at www.facebook/Sockamajigs.com.

Thanks for having a look!

Kerry

Awwww, my favourite doll as a kid was a long, skinny sock monkey called 'Mincemeat'.  (I named her when I was 4... I don't know why i chose that name!)  My granny used to  make dresses for her.   :)

Hi Phatbeetle...long time no post for me, but I've kept up with all of you.

Tracey....I still have the sock monkey that my grandmother made for me (nearly *ahem* 50 years ago). It was absolutely my favourite possession when I was a kid. I used to lie in bed and think...if there is a fire, first I'll save Sock Monkey..haha!  Love the name "Mincemeat" and that she was a girl with that name.

Not merely a girl, but a girl with frilly floral frocks!

Thanks, Cadenza. Let me know if there is something specific that I could make for your little one.

Tracey...I didn't figure you for a "frilly floral frock" kind of girl ;)

I wasn't, but Mincemeat was... or at least my granny who made the dresses, thought she was!
