Anyone upgrading to the Nexus 10
« on: December 04, 2012, 05:12:09 PM »
I have a galaxy tab 8.9 which is great but I can't help but be really enticed by the Nexus 10. It seems like a high spec-ed beast! Anyone else fancy upgrading to the nexus 10?

Or if you already have it, would you recommend it to other people?

It's not really a looker but the google updates/support, 2gb ram, etc.. really draw me in.

Feel free to talk me out of upgrading too! I feel guilty about even thinking about it since I've just got the tab a few months ago. Damn this technology addiction!

I have the Nexus 7 and I loooooooooooove it. The 10 is too big for me, but if that's the size you like then I'm afraid I'm not going to talk you out of it! BUY IT NOW!!!  ;D

We got the Nexus 7 when it first came out, and have sold it to either get the Nexus 7 3g or iPad Mini-- Like chary, for us(him) it's also the size factor.

I asked the OtherHalf about this (he's obsessed with technology), and he said "Get rid of the Galaxy Tab.  Nexus all the way!"  He did play around on the Nexus 10 when it arrived at his work, and said it was a lovely fluid experience, but wasn't the prettiest.  He says the specs on the Nexus 10 will remain unbeaten for a while, and for the price, it's fantastic.  If you don't want an iPad, this is the next best thing. With that last comment, he's referring to the whole experience, but seemed to specifically mention app availability being better on iPads.

Not sure if it helps to know that his review is pretty unbiased--we're pretty neutral when it comes to the whole Android/PC vs. iOS/Mac issue, as our gadgets are equally distributed across both.

We have both and we far prefer the Nexus!

Oh thanks for that guys!

I'm not much of an ipad person because when I tried the ipad 2, it felt like a large version if an ipod touch with the same icon grid layout which I didn't like. It may have changed now I'm not too sure since I haven't looked into it (way out of my price budget!).

Think I'll be upgrading when it comes back into stock. Excited!
