EEA family permit
« on: December 06, 2012, 01:52:44 PM »
Hello everyone,

I'm still desperately trying to make this move work after being refused for a settlement visa. Does anyone know the fund level necessary for EEA family permits?

My husband is an Irish citizen by passport and a British citizen by birth, no passport. It seems that dual Irish/British citizens are not eligible for EEA family permits if not residing in the EEA country (we're in the US). However, if he renounced his British citizenship, we'd be eligible for an EEA permit under his Irish citizenship. I'm just wondering if we would obtain the permit with our funds.

Crazy idea, but it could work! Thoughts?

As far as I know there are no formal income requirements for an EEA family permit.
