Came to london in 2010 on Tier 4.
Went for PEO in person premium appointment on 29th Nov.
- appointment was at 12:30 but we went there at 11:40, they first said come back at 12 but then called us back in.
- We were checked and asked to wait.
- at about 12 we were called to see the visa officer and submit the docs.
- The visa officer was very nice. asked us couple of questions and To my surprise took all our docs. he took all our docs and asked me to provide a proof that i was a genuine student.
- I provided my exam results and letter from college. (which i hadn't included in the docs in the first place thinking its irrelevant)
- They asked us to wait in the biometrics waiting area until i am called for biometrics.
- After biometrics, they said to us to go out and it will take very long. we didnt go out but they came to us again and said we should go out cuz its no way its gonna take any less than 4 hours.
-we went out for 3 hours came back about 3:30 then kept waiting. at 4:30 they called my wife in for an interview.asked about our relationship to verify the genuineness... They said to her they are gonna do some inquiries on me.. they will enquire from the college and maybe some other inquiries. and then they sent her back. then he came to me and said to me the same thing and said we will take about 2 weeks to do checks on me.
-We were saddened but today, 7 dec we got the letter that the biometrics should reach us in 7 working days.
Overal:
- I have heard that at other PEOs they dont just take all your docs, they just ask u for a couple of docs including the payslips, letter from employer, marriage cert, ielts, and tenancy agreement, but here at Cardiff PEO they didnt only take all our docs, they also asked for additional proof of college.
- I have also heard that the whole process normally takes about 2 hours at other PEOs but here it took 4:30 hours plus they did inquiry on me as well..
- Another couple was there for FLR M as well and they were waiting since 9 in the morning and only got the visa until after 4. This is just ridiculous.
I would NOT recommond going to Cardiff. Although if you can't get any other appointment, then do go for it. its better to wait for a day or a couple of weeks rather than months.
Sorry if I have threatened anyone I might be wrong, Cardiff could be the best for you.. u never know
