So, applying for a spouse visa, waiting, getting a request to send even more documents, doing so, and waiting some more, I finally received a "your UK visa has been issued" email and was elated. Then, my husband was tracking the package using the number assigned to it this morning, making sure it was on its way to my friend's house, as she was going to sign for it and keep it for me while I visit family elsewhere. Well, now UPS says there was a "service disruption" partway through the delivery process and it's been sent back to the consulate in NYC! We have no idea why- it could even be that the consulate recalled the package for some reason, but UPS won't tell us anything besides "check back," and of course, we can't call the embassy to find out what the eff happened. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea of what to do? I am just gutted at this point...thought I was finally going home for Christmas and now, this has happened.
