Hi, all -
Long time no post (tho lurking all the while). In typical post-Christmas visit home to the states depression, I'm mulling over the possibility of moving back, maybe just temporarily, sometime in the very distant future. However, logistics are important. I am a US citizen and plan on getting my UK citizenship ASAP. My husband is a UK citizen BUT NOT BY BIRTH. He is also a NZ citizen.
It's important that all our future kids have both US and UK citizenship (and NZ, but that's not an issue). If we move back to the states and a child is born there, would that child have UK citizenship, considering neither of their parents are UK citizens by birth? Could anyone point me in the direction of where I can I find the answers?
Thanks for all your help.
