Honouring a last wish...
« on: January 10, 2013, 05:08:06 PM »
Hi all,

I haven't posted in years (sorry, life got a bit crazy).  However, I need some help now.  I'm sorry if this is the wrong area to post this but I really wasn't sure where to put it!

My mother passed away unexpectedly just before Christmas.  Her wish was to have her ashes scattered in the UK (as she was planning to retire here to be closer to my husband and me).  When I left the states, we didn't have a death certificate so Mom had to stay put.

We now have a death certificate but the funeral home don't know how to get her to the UK.  Does anyone have a clue how I might do this?  I want to honour her last wish but I think she would need to come on an accompanied flight and not just through the post.

I've searched the net and found nothing.  So, any guidance would be most helpful.
I am the architect of my destiny.

I'd start here:

Sorry for your loss, Dar.

Thank you for that!  I think I must have been using the wrong search terms.  This is a great start!
