CA State Income Tax Liability
« on: January 14, 2013, 04:48:19 PM »
I've been doing some research online about CA state taxes. Basically, it seems like CA doesn't want to let its residents go tax wise.

Does anyone know what the tax liability would be for someone who intends to never reside in the state again?

TIA!

For the "final year" (ie the year where you may have lived part of the time in CA), you would still file, but other than that, yep, nothing.  I mean, don't renew your driver's license or anything (or vote in state elections!)(had a friend who did both those things!), but if you are truly not living there anymore, they let you go.
