An eastcoaster in London
« on: March 07, 2013, 12:50:31 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I've been reading this forum for years (and the comments have kept me sane at points), but I never introduced myself.  I came to London as a postgraduate student in 2007 and have been here ever since. I met my husband in 2005 through a mutual friend when I was a study abroad student, we were friends for 2 years before dating and have been together ever since. At the moment I am waiting for my SET (M) visa with crossed fingers.

I am a London enthusiast, and have a blog about being an expat of colour in London (which is in my profile). My interests include painting, getting lost, trying to go to every tube stop, baking and attempting to recreate the perfect soul food meal, and going to markets. At the moment I'm trying to find work in study abroad/HE to help disadvantaged students discover the world.

Greetings!
It is difficult to speak adequately, or justly, of London. It is not a pleasant place; it is not agreeable, or easy, or exempt from reproach. It is only magnificent... the biggest aggregation of human life, the most complete compendium in the world.
