Not many drive through anythings exist here! Funny that my English husband misses drive-through culture more than I do - he would *so much* rather stay in his car and be served... with the one minor detail that no one ever understands his accent through the speaker! :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

What a good point you make, my English husband is rarely understood when using the drive thru.  Drive thru Starbucks and various other sort of coffee place are all over the states.  It just a quick way to grab a cup of coffee without having to get my one year old out of the car when it rains.  Oh well, there are so many good things England has, I will just walk to get my coffee. ;)

The number of times I, in the passenger seat, have had to yell across the car over my husband just so we can get our order! Then again - most of these instances were in parts of Indiana where English accents aren't exactly expected. ;D

We talked about doing a "drive thru holiday" scrap book to show to Paul's family and friends in the UK.  The idea was, while on holiday to the states, we would go to the drive thru coffee shop, fast food joint, prescripton pick up, bank, DMV, ATM, and who know what else...

Yes, the joys of being an American.  With car phones, car faxes, laptops with wireless 'net and endless drive thrus (not to mention the monster sizes that the rigs come in) we could almost live out of our cars...

I dont think drive thru users are lazy, it is just nice to have the option.  Since I am in the UK I will walk to the places I need.  When I vacation in the States, I will use the the drive thru option or the walking one.

What a great idea, a drive thru holiday scarpbook!

I am a coffee snob!!  I will fully confess and hope this is not too much personal information;)  McDonald's coffee does in a pinch. I guess I am just use to all the different choices that can be offered from a coffe house, of course with a drive thru :)

There's a starbucks drive through down the street from me here in Houston. makes me smile every time I see it. Its a nice friendly reminder that Im in America.

BTW, Martin wont get money from anything but a drive-thru ATM now. He is well and truly converted!
