new employer vs. recruiting agency

I currently have indefinite leave to remain and am in the process of looking for a new job with a different employer.  What things do I have to consider with respect to U.K. and U.S. tax returns if I end up being paid by a recruiting agency rather than by my new employer directly?  I am on PAYE with my current employer.
