Meeting people near Oxford

I'm looking to see if there is anyone near Oxford that might be up to meeting and saying hello. I've lived in Abingdon (south of Oxford) since 2010, when I moved in with my now-husband, and have met 1-2 people since then but my social life has really gone down hill. My closest friend (from Canada) is moving back home in a few months and it's made me realize how lonely I've been since moving here. I've got a few people from work that I'm friendly with but not much else going on. Anyone want to meet for a cup of coffee or a drink in the area?

I know what ya mean.  I'm in the US awaiting my fiance visa right now, but when I get back to Surrey I'll holler.  My fella often has work obligations in Oxford & I go with him for day trips.  I'd love to have social hour sometime soon.

I've been here for about 6 months and have found it really difficult to connect with anyone! I live in hertfordshire but I'm more than happy to find a friend anywhere in this country!
