Americans in the Helensburgh area?

My Husband and I are Moving to the Helensburgh area in approx 8 weeks and thought it would be nice to chat with some fellow Americans in the same area.

Well I just got here, so I'm not really sure where kings park or coatbridge are but hello fellow floridans!

I suppose you're right by American standards.  :)

I just remember when my boyfriend was still in Helensburgh, and i was in Glasgow, that felt annoyingly distant.  I absolutely hated having to plan everything around the Scotrail timetable!

No... neither of those buses go anywhere near Helensburgh.  But the 1 does!.. cant remember if it's the 1a or the 1b.

I posted this earlier, but it seems to have vanished... sorry if you're seeing it twice!  [smiley=dunce.gif]

My partner is from Helensburgh and works there, although we now live in the west end of Glasgow.  We will probably move back to Helensburgh when we retire.  It's a nice wee place... hope you are enjoying it so far (even with the streets being torn up at the moment!).

I often hear North American accents when I'm there, so if that's what you're seeking, hopefully you won't have to look far.

Hello Helensburgh and welcome! There is a train that goes from Helensburgh into Glasgow, but I am not sure about buses.  I am also in the West End of Glasgow. If you ever make it into the city please email and maybe we can get a small group together for a drink and chat.

Welcome to Scotland (by now I think)!  My family and I are down the road a bit by Broxburn.  Just a short drive or train ride to Helensburgh.  I hope you love it here.
