The UK's Newest CITIZEN...uh, yep, that'd be me!
« on: October 19, 2004, 01:04:12 PM »
.....well, I'm almost a citizen, anyway!

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.  Got our passports back today with a letter to say my application for citizenship was successful.  Sent them in back in May so we were starting to get worried about getting it all sorted before going on our trip to the US in December.  We'd planned to write for the passports back this week and lo and behold, they arrived!!!  Whoopiiiieeeeee!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Woooo hoooo!  :)

Now all I have to do is wait for another letter from Inverness inviting me to my citizenship ceremony!  I'm can't wait to celebrate!

Just had to share my joy.  :)

Great news, hon! I'm somewhat envious since I would like to as well, but with the upcoming US visa for hubby, think I might be needing it...lol

Congrats!

Congratulations, Wishstar!  I suppose I get around to this some day too -- probably just before my next passport expires.

Worryingly, the day after Wishstar got her letter, her teeth began to wobble and she developed a tremendous thirst for blackcurrant-flavored drinks, along with a grim determination to stay in on Saturday night and watch Casualty.

For anyone who's gone though the citizenship process, can you tell me - is this normal? And if so, will it get worse?  [smiley=anxious.gif]
