Pancakes are quite easy to make on your own. Here's a recipe I found with a quick google search: http://www.nigella.com/recipes/view/american-breakfast-pancakes-141 and most supermarkets stock maple syrup if you're craving that, too.

As for Dunkin Donuts, I'm not aware of any, but I do know there are Krispy Kremes in the UK.
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

I think you're out of luck for DD's. As for pancakes...I make them all the time for chicklet.
I use this recipe and just tweak it the way we like it with either bananas for myself, chocolate chips for chicklet, or blueberries.

Homemade pancakes are so much nicer than the kind from a mix. Even though I'm back in the US, I still make them from scratch. There's no DD, but there are Krispy Kreme's about if you need a US donut fix!

We use a Jamie Oliver recipe for ours - cup flour, dash vanilla,  cup milk and 1 egg (we use twice that  for four of us) cook until popped bubbles leave holes on one side and about 90 second on the next side.

Pancakes could not be easier to make! And there have been lots of good recipes supplied on this thread.

But if you really don't want to DIY, you can find Bisquick just about anywhere.

I don't feel like making them. I want them served to me piping hot with a good cup of coffee.  ;D

I didn't mean you, C! I meant that the OP could always buy Bisquick if she didn't/couldn't make her own pancakes. I understand completely - sometimes you just really want to be waited on.  :)

I don't know where you are...but I go to Giraffe's when I want something a bit more American than the good old Full English!

It is a good substitute if you don't want to make your own.

Oh yes! I totally forgot about Giraffe. I have one fairly close too. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Chary, I was being deliberately difficult. ;)

Bah. Bisquick makes flat, rubbish pancakes. I want fluffy, diner-style cakes when I have pancakes!

Nobody's forcing you to use it, but it is an option for a lot of people.

I like pancakes! And while I'm trying my best to eat less meat, I do like running a piece of crispy streaky bacon down through the syrup.

Get hubby to make them then! DW was feeling particularly homesick one time and craving American pancakes, so I cooked them for breakfast, and we also had a bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee that someone had brought us!
