Favorite sites for Lettings Searches?
« on: October 23, 2004, 06:18:02 PM »
We are searching for a flat to move in to in January and have been poking around many different sites searching for lettings in London. So far our favs have been:

www.findaproperty.com and www.loot.co.uk

For the short term let we are looking for we dig www.gumtree.com coz there are a lot of lettings which don't have estate agents and/or bonds.

Anyone have any other goldmines for lettings searches?

I love Craigslist, though I still find the London branch of it to be lacking in normal priced rentals. I find to many holiday rentals there. Anyone want to rent in Amsterdam?

Are we the only ones using it?

We found our current rental through a local estate agent, Romans. We found it after doing a websearch for letting/estate agents in our area before we moved.

voila!  ;D

I'd love to get a flat in Amsterdam for a short while!  ;) My {future} brother in law who lives in Islington said his mates usually use Gumtree for their searches. Im happy to hear you find craigslist London a bit over-priced; I thought I was the only one! Its beautiful for San Francisco which is the other city we are looking to move to.

Good luck with your search; let us know where you find a good one!

I love Craigslist for all my US searches. My last room in Los Angeles I found through CL and it rocked. Me and my roommate were a perfect match. Except for the security deposit which he hasn't sent me yet. Though I suppose since I moved out of the country he assumes I won't chase him down for it.

Mwa ah ah...
