WooHoo! I got a fabulous Secret Santa prezzie: some amazing flavored chocolates (which I will NOT be sharing with DH, haha!) and some beautiful cards of paintings of the Sussex countryside by Andrew Dandridge! Thank you Secret Santa  ;D

Yer killing me!!! So jealous. Sounds even more lovely than the years I spent Christmas in Florida - I mean I think it's even hotter where you are.  8)

This is the only warm Christmas I've had (and only my second Christmas outside the UK), so it's very surreal!

I hope you had a nice visit home in between all your international jetsetting.

Yes, it was a very nice trip home, thanks :). Very busy though - I think I went for coffee, lunch or dinner about 18 times in 3 weeks!

I've decided that I want you to take Paul the Weatherman's place on Look North whenever he retires!  :)

Lol - not sure I'll be doing that. I actually spoke to Paul on the phone at work once... he called our office to ask what our rainfall totals were that day so he could mention them on the news later on :P.

I will tell you Mrs Secret Kris Kringle that I followed your instructions and I opened that gift up straight away! It went absolutely perfectly with my 1920's outfit for my gig last week and I think it gave me good luck(I got some incredible compliments on my playing from some incredible musicians and from the Officers/Girlfriends in the Black Watch- so I am convinced it was the good luck 1920s headband from you!) and I got great compliments on the look. So thank you ever so much, because it's perfect and will get a lot of good use in 2014! Really, it means loads to me.  :-*

I did have to open my gift before I left for the US as it was too large for my suitcase :(  I love my new gardening set and gloves! The garden tools are in a purple floral pattern and almost too pretty to use, but they will get used and used well  :D
So thank you very much to my secret santa!  ;D

A little late to the party, but I'd like to thank my Santa for the excellent knife sharpener! I love love love kitchen gadgets and I needed one of these.  :D :D

Phatbeetle~ I am SO glad you like the flapper headband and that you were able to use it straight away. I loved that you could move the feather about so as to change the look each time and I do hope it brings you loads of good luck and happiness whenever and wherever you play.  :-*

Glad everyone liked their gifts! Sounds like we had some good shoppers!

chary - your tortoise was given life in the Lonely Planet offices of the BBC building from yours truely. :-) She's a travelling tortoise who almost didn't get finished in time (due to Christmas parties and lunches) so I'm glad she got to you in time for the grand opening.  ;D

I haven't seen JennyEye on here recently... Hopefully she's got her gift and is enjoying it. :-)

My gift is still MIA, but i think everyone else received theirs in time!  ;D Woohoo! Well done Secret Santas 2013!  ;D

I'm glad you liked it! I'm not sure if you guessed it was me or not? I often get clues from the sending postcode on the postmark of a package - but I've not been able to figure it out every year, lol! ksand24 made it easy for me with her surname on it somewhere & a Bristol postcode.  :)

TravelingFrog, I do hope yours turns up soon!  :)

And hopefully, everyone will turn up & let us know what they received - I think most are accounted for?  :)

I did? That's odd, because I deliberately didn't put any identifying details on it   ???

However, I did have to ask my parents to put in the post for me as I didn't have time to get to the post office before I had to leave for Ascension... so perhaps they wrote the surname and postcode on it after I left :-\\\\.

Sorry, the postcode (or at least the first half of it - can't remember if it's the whole thing or not) shows on the postmark or label that the post office affixes - usually. So the first thing, I asked DH - where is BS(whatever number it was) the postcode for...? And he confirmed that would be Bristol.  :)

And then yeah - I spied your surname, but only your surname scribbled on one side of the shipment box.  :)

She's gorgeous and I'm VERY glad she made it in time! Thank you so much, TravelingFrog, and also for the (ex)chocolates. ;)

Hiya all!!  Really sorry I haven't been on much.  Been working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week at Royal mail.

Travellingfrog, not sure why it took so long for you to get your package as I personally sorted it for you Tuesday. Should have got there on Wednesday...but glad you like it.  The cookie recipe is my FAV cookie recipe and the pie I get asked to do ALL the time.

Thank you Secret Santa for my lovely candles.  The front room smells amazing and cannot wait for my Belgium Milk Hot Choc Shotz on Christmas morning!!

Hope you all have a very happy Christmas and hope to be back on here regularly after the crazy Christmas season.
