Visiting Across the Pond Stockton-On-Tees to Georgia....

Hi all......I have been poking around here for some time seeing what people post and questions asked in the various stages regarding meeting and moving across the pond. I am no where close to where you all are. I have met someone online and we have been chatting on Skype and phone for going on 11 months now. Tomorrow is the big day. He has come from stockton-on-tees to visit me in Georgia. One never knows what will come of the visit as we are both divorced and a bit reserved and gun shy. But also excited to finally be meeting in person.  In a worst case scenario we will end as friends.  We have a very high respect towards each other which I can totally appreciate as my previous marriage was no walk in the park. I really hope that the relationship we have formed over these months will progress after meeting. But I digress.....just wanted to say hello and see if there were any expats in the areas he and I are in.

Good luck!! I hope it all goes well for y'all! If I were back in Georgia I would be up for meeting! I know several people on the forum are still living in Georgia. Remember...a lot of British men LOVE the southern Drawl. At least, mine does!

Hello!  There are quite a few expats in the Stockton area (I'm 25 mins away in Durham).  So if you ever decide to make the big move, you'll have plenty of American company.  Welcome to UKY! 

Thanks Jess! Mr. B went back on Tuesday.....spent the remainder of Tuesday and most of Wednesday bawling my eyes out. Today was much better.  There will be another visit.....but that seems like another eternity away. The worst part was the suddent quiet in the apartment once he was gone.
