What time should we all show up, Albatross? That sounds like a meal worth buying a plane ticket for!

We're still undecided. It will be the two of us, with my family 2 hours away, his 4000 miles away, him working Christmas Eve and both of us working Christmas Day. I requested Christmas Eve off so I could fix something for us, and we have our meal and gift opening after he gets off work, and I can spend the day with Ralphie Parker and Clark Griswold.. and probably George Bailey, comfy on the couch with my fuzzy pjs, the dvd player and cookies and cocoa.
We can't decide if we want to do ham and all the trimmings, or just keep it simple with maybe nibbles. I'm sure I will end up baking a ham either way, and if we have nibbles we can have ham as part of it. I will keep watching this thread for thoughts and ideas. Currently, ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and some steamed veg sound like a good start.
