I'm working with Pete too. But I haven't had any communication with him in awhile because I won't confirm until December. But the communication I did have with him was very prompt.

Yeah I dealt with both of them as well. I even called Alicia a few times with questions. You'll likely get put in her hands once you confirm that you'll be using them.

Thank you Becca! That is very helpful!! Congrats on your move!

You're very welcome!   :D

Today is the big day when my "big box" (officially known as a U-Cube) arrived at our door here in the UK - hooray!  I will have to give a more detailed account of my experience when I'm a little less exhausted and sore from moving boxes, but in general it was pretty good.

The communication between Upackweship and myself broke down quite a bit once my shipment arrived in Southampton, and I was pretty frustrated not knowing where things where.  Basically after Halloween - the day my ship came in ( ;D *snicker* ) - and yesterday, I didn't have any tracking information and I went a bit nuts without knowing what was going on.

Admittedly, I am not a particularly patient person.....  *cough*  ;)

I will say - in case I forget to come back and update this - I absolutely adore Alicia at the US UpackWeShip office.  She held my hand through the entire process and was very prompt with replies to my emails.  I simply can't praise her enough.

Now, I'd better get back to unpacking my stuff......

:: Now why the heck did I pack that for heaven's sake?!? ::

 ;D

Oh cool! When are you moving? Do you know where yet? We are still looking for a house.

Hey "writeshawnna",

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply back to you! My fiance was here for a month over the holidays, and now that he's gone back to the UK I'm getting all caught up on emails and Life!  :P

We're over in Stoke, Coventry at the moment; CV1. But we're eyeing a house that's soon to be on the market near Leamington Road.
He's actually in property investing and management, so our new "home" together will happen when he finds that diamond in the rough.

I'll be over in the UK again June and July, and then make my official move later this fall (or whenever our spousal visa is approved after the wedding).

As for the shipping options, I've decided to basically sell 80% of everything I own, put 10% into family storage, and put the other 10% into suitcases to bring over to the UK. Enough of his family will be here for the wedding that I'll give each of them a cheap suitcase and $75, and I think that should cover everything left that I own.

Garage Sales and eBay never looked so good!  ;)

Hey, we're just moving from CV1 to between Coventry and Birmingham in Hampton in Arden (B92). I'd love to meet up when you're back in the area! :)

I have to have my stuff binned up by Sunday...everything else has to be sold or fit in a suitcase! But my kids won't give up all their stuff, so I'm paying for 20-30 bins to be shipped!

p.s. Thing about kids is that they go through so many phases... let's hope yours don't decide they no longer need any of the extra 30 boxes they insisted on bringing! haha

They have NO idea how much stuff is about to be "mysteriously lost" in the move!  ;D
