Money transfer to international bank account?
« on: January 24, 2014, 01:12:17 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone know how to send money ( in person / cash / shop ) to  a international bank account ( not US account )?  I check western union but they don't have bank transfer for the country I like to send to.  Paypal fee's and rates aren't good either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi GreenApple, I'm not sure if you are interested in doing the transfer online, but I use TransferWise for international transfers to the US.

They also support a wide range of currencies, such as: Euros, British pounds, US dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Swiss francs, Polish zloty, Swedish krona, Japanese yen, Indian rupees, South African rand, and quite a few more I've never heard of....

It has better rates than you'd get by doing the transfer through your bank, and far fewer fees as well.  It's typically taken 2-3 days to go through, and I've not been charged to receive the money into my US account either (like I have been with Paypal...)

Hope this helps
