Newbie, moving from TX to Suffolk
« on: January 26, 2014, 06:12:38 AM »
Hi!

I'm a native born UK citizen who, along with my US husband and US Pomeranian, will be moving back permanently from Central Texas to the deepest edges of East Anglia sometime this next year.

We've been living and working in Texas for the last 23 years, but retirement is fast approaching for me and once the pension is settled we'll be selling up and moving to our house in Suffolk.  My mother and our daughter already live there, so it will be a homecoming for us.

What brought me to the board were questions I have about taking our dog over and moving about a pallet or two of household goods, mostly books and odds and ends.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about living in the UK that might arise since my experience there is ongoing and recent.  I spend my summers there and we've owned a house there for years.  In return, I'll eagerly listen to your experiences moving house and livestock.

Cheers,

Raggedhand
