Hi all,

I'm filling out my online application for the Spouse visa.  My spouse is my sponsor (or so I've assumed... he's a UK citizen by birth, I'm a US citizen).  I'm on the Sponsor Details section, so I've put all his info in, but when I get to the part about What is Their Relationship to You?  There is not HUSBAND as an option!  What am I missing here?

Trying to finish this up so if anyone has any suggestions, I greatly appreciate it!

Is there no option for Partner or Spouse?
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)
1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

Three questions:

1) As vadio said, is there no option for 'Spouse' or 'Partner'?

2) Are you definitely filling out the correct online application?

For a spousal visa, under visa type, you should have selected:
Settlement -> Settlement -> Wife

3) Are you aware that you also need to print out and flll in (by hand) Appendix 2? This form also asks your relationship to the sponsor and it does have 'Spouse' as an option.

If you have the correct online form, and it doesn't have an option for Spouse or Partner, but it does have an option for 'Other', you could tick that and then if it lets you, write 'Spouse' in the box, or you can just tick one of the options and then correct it in pen after you have submitted the application form and printed it out.

No, there is no choice for partner/spouse and you are filling out the correct application.  It's a flaw in the application.

Choose "Other Relative" and in the space for additional information refer to the question and write husband.

Thank you so much all for the replies!  Doing the "Other Relative" and then adding the info Additional Information Section.

Funny little flaw that it doesn't say "Spouse" there :-)

I had the same worry as well.  I just chose other relative and my visa was approved with no problems.
