Ahhh it's a shame they no longer promise 15 days for priority processing. It'd be nice not to be so in the dark.

I was in a state of panic too when I didn't get my acknowledgement right away. It took about 2 weeks to get mine. I got the decision made email the very next day after acknowledgment. Hang in there. I know it's hard!

Oh that's good to hear, from your info it was 20 days total from the day you shipped your documents right?

Yes that's right. So in the grand scheme of things, pretty fast. I understand it's a bit alarming when you don't the email right away. But it all worked out fine in the end :)

Does your tracking show the package arrived?  If so, relax.  It's not lost.

Fiancé visa and spousal visas are treated identically and should have the same timelines.

Thanks so much the feedback. We paid for Priority processing for my Settlement Fiancée Visa and the package was signed for and delivered on the morning of Tuesday, 15 Sept.

It's been over 4 full weeks (21 business days) since it arrived and still no word.

Does anyone have another point of contact at Sheffield (beyond the help phone number & email address)? Thanks so much.

No I didn't.  Just saying try waiting 64 business days. considering the website says 100% done by 60 business days.
Been painful the past few weeks. cause most was planed around worse case taking the full 60 days not take longer.

The 60 days on the website though was for decisions MADE in July 2015... Therefore the people who had to wait 60 days actually applied in April... The processing times therefore may not apply to people who applied in May, June or July (or later)... But of course The more recent processing times have not been published yet!

Great news!  I'm wondering if your solicitor was given your acknowledgment email and decision made emails.  We've seen that happen before when applicants use a solicitor.

I asked her and she said no.  My advice for anyone using a solicitor is to still do your research. She definitely got a few things wrong but were corrected when pointed out. She did also have us include support letters etc. and probably things we didn't need but we got a quick approval! :) I really hope everyone else gets theirs very, very soon.

(also thank you <3 )

Ah, yes, the tell tale sign.  Letters of support = a solicitor that has no idea what they are doing.  Luckily you knew the rules yourself so you submitted all the required items as well.

Hello everyone...
I decided to join in this wait...we had applied back in March and was refused due to financials poorly done by a solicitor so we have now reapplied...from the date of the acknowledgement email (4th of August), today was day 55, end of 11 weeks. WE only counted business days and minus the holiday the last Monday of August. Our email said that it would be a maximum of 12 weeks but this wait is absolutely awful.

I miss my husband so much, have not seen him for 4 months.  I too was hoping to leave the 23rd of October.

We definitely ticked ALL of the boxes this time but of course was not allowed to pay priority due to the refusal so here we are.

I can only hope that next week there will be a response.  On the expat forum there is also several at 56, 58 and some right at 60 with no response.  All of us there are US citizens waiting non priority for settlement visas.

The weekend is definitely the hardest knowing there is no work happening :(

I hope you hear something soon.

For the record though, you can pay priority with a refusal - all priority does is get your application put to the front of the line when it arrives in Sheffield... before they even look at it. That's it.

They just recommend you don't use it with a refusal because they can't guarantee how long it will take after that.

Ksand24---thank you
I hope I do as well. You may not remember me as it has been awhile but you helped me a lot before.
I am just glad to know I am not the only one who has been waiting this long.
