Got my email that a decision has been made too! Between the bank check(for possible surcharge refund) and UPS check, I'm a bit manic. Why can't they just tell us in the email? It's such torture. lol.

It was much faster than I thought it would be
-documents arrived in Sheffield on the 6th
-prepared for consideration on the 9th
-dispatched today, on the 14th.

Araenvo, we're just too cool for school; they  have to check to make sure our awesomeness won't break the country. ;D

A fast decision generally means approval.  ;D

For refusals, they'd usually investigate a bit more to be sure it's rightly refused and clearly doesn't meet the requirements.

That's not to say slow decisions are usually refusals. There are lots of reasons applications can take longer and those reasons often have nothing to do with the individual applicant or their application.

My biggest concern is that the UKVI have apparently changed the method to pay priority so that you can't pay it separately from paying the courier fee, so my fiance and I might not even be able to pay priority to speed up what's going on.

:\
My consultant is in California, so her working hours don't overlap with the UK's. Can someone point me in the direction of a help-line or something so I can call them and figure out what on earth is happening?

I SO hope they didn't just laugh and nope our application right out of there. I do choose to believe you cause it's such a stressor to think about. =]

Nice save ;)

;) I know how it feels to wait for visas.

I recently became a UK citizen. A co-worker of mine applied 5 months before me. Same exact application (USC applying as the spouse of a UKC). Her's took ages and mine was speedy and we were approved within a week of each other. ::) Nothing to do with either of our applications - we fell under the same category and I don't know of anything in either of our situations that could have sped the process up or slowed it down. It was just up to how they were processed.

When it comes to visa processing time, it's usually a case of 'it's not you, it's them'. ::)

You can pay to upgrade to priority after the fact.  But at this point, it's probably not worth it.

Unfortunately your consultant probably set it up so all emails go directly to her.  There isn't anyone you can contact about the application, so try to relax and know it'll be processed in due course.

Yep! Unfortunately, my living situation is trepidation because I am a month passed the leave date that I originally supplied to my parents. A definitive fast-tracking is better than the possibility of having a fall out with my parents, lol!

Anyway, turns out there was an error on the website page that disallowed the purchase of priority without the courier, so my consultant has to wait for them to fix that before I can even purchase the dang thing. D:

On the plus side, I've totally finished two colouring books while I wait for this thing to go through. ;)

If you need another colouring book and have a case of itchy feet, this travel colouring book might be the cure. ;)

Good luck with your parents. I know from experience that it's tough. I think I turned back into a 12 year old when I was staying with them waiting for my fiance visa.

Same, Jo. Maybe we should check to see if they forgot a pile submitted I'm the last week of April? Lol.

Edit
I should add that my fiance and I are in the process of attempting to pay for priority, but apparently the website is still throwing an error that indicates we can't pay for priority without paying for the courier (again). This is an error that remained to be resolved on Friday. Hopefully that will be resolved soon though, and I'll at least get some sort of acknowledgement that the application still exists. :)
