Also I am not sure which visa category to choose, I applied for a fiancé visa, and of the two I would believe to fit my application (settlement or special visitor- marriage) only have New York as an option as the visa application center

I don't know how the new priority system is working but you definitely do not want Special Visitor - Marriage. That is a visitor visa which only costs about £80 (rather than £800), is processed in NYC and the priority service is only £100.

You want the settlement category, with priority costing £300. I don't know why it says New York, but it has to be the correct one because it's your only option.

That's what I figured... Hopefully it's right! Lol but yeah, if I choose settlement, the only choice after that is NY as the processing center

Okay settlement was the correct option, the next page asked for a sub visa category and fiancée/ proposed civil partner was there (:

Now I just need to know what I should state or include in the email to UKVI

UPDATE: I just sent the email to UKVI and told then that I paid for priority for my application that was received in their offices on March 13. I included the PDF of the receipt I was emailed from VFS (I lousy forwarded what was sent to me) as well as my name, application ref. number and DOB.... I hope that was well enough? This is making me so nervous that I might have done something wrong...

I'm so happy you did that FutureMrsHandy ... I hope you hear back from them soon ...

And ... Guess what ...
IM GOING HOME !!!!

I normally Hate seeing my own picture, BUT it feels sooo good to see that other picture of myself looking back at me from a special yellowish sticker on another page of my passport !!!

In going to stay here for a few more weeks, but this year I will be with my handsome hubby on his birthday in the beginning of June !!!

What's different with my package in comparison to the majority of posts I have read is, not only did I get all my original documents back but, I also got back all the copies I sent them... So, basically, I got back everything I sent them ....

I'm going to keep this thread flagged so I can check up on all of your progress... And, I wish you all a very fast and positive journey from here on out ...

Xoxo

It will be my first time celebrating his birthday with him, so I'm in the same boat! Lol assuming I get there in time!

And thank you so much (:
It's so nice having all this support and information from everyone on this forum...

I can imagine! I already know I will seriously cry when I see it in mine! So it's completely understandable! I'll be doing the same thing lol

I have had mine for a week and I still get up and go check to make sure it's there..lol my son has just started shaking his head when I go to the lock box be use he knows what I am doing.  All the stress of getting rid of an entire household in under three weeks has my head spinning, but next week I will be with my wonderful husband and the three of us will start our new lives together:)

Congratulations NMF921!!!!
All the best and I'm sure I'll be looking at mine the same way when I get it! Hopefully this week if the email was correct. I might have to do the priority upgrade as well if everyone will push mine back lol..

Sorry Mrs. Roberts!! lol I just couldn't stand it! I was told it would be a few weeks before I heard anything! So I just had to get priority... I can't be away much longer!! Like I said, we have lots of things that need to be done for the wedding in September... I just want to be back home with him already </3

I was kidding! Like I've said before, I can't imagine being away from my hunni and so grateful he's here with me.
Since my email said they should be done this week-I'm hoping to get my email soon.
I know you have so many things to do to plan your wedding, I'm happy for you :)

Lol I just feel bad because I know how much I kind of resented the ones paying for priority after I sent my application in... But I can't stand being away from him... It's been 4 very long months :(

But thank you!(:

FutureMrsHandy, you did it correctly. I had to scroll through and follow what you did, but if you're like me, you used the link that was posted on this blog and it didn't work on my iPhone. Kept asking me to select NYC and I knew it was wrong. When I logged on from a laptop there was a bold drop-down option for SETTLEMENT then fiance/proposed civil partner. They will surely contact you tomorrow and then watch how fast things move...

I feel terrible about having missed such pertinent information, but again, NONE of it was visible to me on UKBA when I applied. I feel so dim making the poor ECO fish through like 6-7 emails from me today with supporting docs. Extremely frustrating. Just don't reject me!! I paid extra and waited patiently for so long!! I'm sorry the old site was stupid and I can't read!! lol

Congrats to those with visas in hand!!
