It's mostly because you paid for priority... The ones who have been waiting since February are the ones who didn't pay for if (like myself, but I got the "application received" email on March 13th)

The wait is killing me

I wish I never mentioned anything to any of my family!!!
Every weekend all I hear is "when are y'all leaving?" It's driving me nuts!!
All I want to do is pass the time but they're not letting me!
Hope we hear something this week.

Same here! It's always "did you hear anything back yet?" "Aren't you supposed to have left already?" Blah blah blah... Makes all the waiting so much worse :(

Well, after a whole year (long story - we were about to submit and then MIL got seriously ill and we had to slam on the brakes) we finally submitted hubby's visa application last week and received the confirmation email on Friday. So, now the nail-biting and waiting begins!

We did pay for priority - almost doubled in price overnight, what the-?!, so we'll see how this goes I guess.

In the meantime, still got a house to sell! But, we need to get back to the UK asap for family reasons, so here we go...

Best of luck to all!

Smart idea to have paid for priority!(: I wish i had, as I'm sure a few others of us do too lol
But good luck and hopefully you hear an answer soon!
(Even though I'm secretly upset that more priority applications that get submitted mean a longer wait for the rest of us...) :P

FWIW, I totally agree. I don't understand why 'priority' = 'those who can afford to pay more'.....surely it should be 'those who need to travel sooner' (e.g. those with a work contract that starts immediately or those who need to travel for sick family members)?

I know we surely hadn't planned/budgeted an extra $500!

My visa arrived this morning!

I got the email from ukba on Friday morning. Good luck to everyone still waiting. And to those stressing over minor things- I was worried sick that mine would be refused because my husbands sister (who he rents a house from) didn't provide us with mortgage documents on time, and all we had for accommodations was a letter from her- no lease or rental agreement- and a note from us highlighting his rent payments to her on a monthly basis.

Anyway I'm headed to England with my husband on Wednesday as originally planned. Off to enjoy my last few days in sunny florida with my family now!

Congratulations Sputinka!

However, if I applied the same timeframe as yours, with Sheffield receiving you application on Feb 12, that means I will be waiting an extra 5 weeks before we receive anything  :\\\'( :\\\'( :\\\'(

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share my info since I just got the "A decision has been made..."  email this morning.  No idea what the decision is, though I'm optimistic I filled everything out correctly.  Anyway, here's our NON-priority timeline:

Feb 8- sent all application materials off
Feb 14- email confirming receipt of my application pack
April 7- confirmation email
April 9- anticipated delivery of paperwork

In all, it was just over 7 weeks.

Best of luck to those still waiting
Matt

2016/12/28- Arrival confirmation and request for biometrics
2017/02/11- FLR(M) visa approved (date on BRP card)

2019/08/21- apply online for ILR/SET(M) and attend biometrics (paid for next day decision)

Hi Matt and Congratulations!!!
I was just going to send a message to FutureMrsHandy that I have a good feeling about this week! Hopefully those of us that got our "application received" email in early March will start to hear something soon as well!!
Fingers crossed :)

Ben, it seems those that sent non priority in February are taking anywhere from 36-38 working days
