New to this site but been in UK for 8 years

Thought I'd jump in here and say hello to fellow expats. I love this country which is good because my husband wouldn't live anywhere else! The problems facing at this moment here is the driving test which absolutely terrifies me and I've been driving for 50 years! Any hints?  I do miss the food and family and friends but otherwise very happy to be here! 

Welcome!  I love your slinky philosophy.  Great to hear that life is treating you well here in England.  I am terrified of driving here too.  I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice from those braver than me
