November?  Garrrr!!!!!  Just awful.  The letter I received said they would decide in 8 weeks unless there was an issue and then they would contact me.

There has been a massive backlog since October - so for people who applied in Oct/Nov, it's been taking about 4 or 5 months for a decision.

It could be that they are starting to work through the backlog now and so it may not take as long for your ILR, but it's probably too early to tell at the moment.

KittyJuneberry - I sent my app off on Monday Feb 17th and got my biometrics letter today - the 22nd. We went straight over to Cambridge and got it done - so they're being pretty darn quick right now. My letter also said something about 8 weeks but I hope that it will not take that long... (all fingers and toes crossed) :)

Just realised I wrote this thinking you were applying for ILR, not FLR(M) - it's ILR that has the bigger backlog at the moment... I don't think FLR(M) is taking quite that long.

Thanks ksand... I was going to ask if ILR had the same time frame as FLR and then you clarified.

Chelle - We seem to only be about a month difference in our whole immigration process. Hope you are enjoying your new life over here as much as I am  :D

Congrats KittyJuneberry!

I had my biometrics done one week after ChelleSD.  So if my timeline runs to six weeks like yours, maybe I'll hear something around the end of the month.  I think ChelleSD and I have been neck and neck on this journey from the fall.

Again, congratulations!  I hope your life here is everything you want it to be!

Watch for the postman ChelleSD!  I just received my package!!!  When you get it, don't fret the first paragraph doesn't sound promising BUT paragraph two is the happy bit.  It says I'll receive the biometric card within 7 days.  We sent special delivery return packaging with our materials so they used that.

It is a VERY GOOD DAY!!! Now my darling Snowdon and I can celebrate another Weekiversary and the next two years of happily ever after here in England tomorrow night!

Best of luck to you!!!!!!!!!

They tried to deliver the card today too.  I thought it would be royal mail as well and since they had already passed by for the day I wasn't watching for another delivery.  LOL  DX left a delivery card and I'll have to wait till Monday for another delivery.  LOL

So, Chelle watch for DX for your biometric card rather than royal mail.  They may arrive on the same day as did mine.
