Non-American Spouse: Claiming Spousal Exemption

This is something that might interest a few of you out there. If your NRA spouse has NO US-source income then you can claim them as an exemption on your married filing separately return.

It's even better than that. Certain sources of US income that are not taxable by the US can be paid to the NRA spouse, and you can still claim the NRA spouse as an exemption.
