Does anyone know the connection between Charlie and Mo?

Mo is his mother in law.
Mo is Viv's mother, who is Charlie's late wife.

Thanks for clearing that up.  Is Mo dating someone?

Mo is 'dating' (ie shagging) that horrible Bert guy, who is a friend of Pauline's husband Joe.

Ive always thought that Mo & Charlie were terrible casting... Charlie is her son in law, but he looks older than her!

Yes, the whole age thing had me.  I just could not figure out the relationship.

That Bert is slimey, where did he come from?

II have missed shows while I was in the States.

Thanks for the EE info.

(modified, cos it's slowly coming back to me!)
Bert and Joe were pals that did some burglaries together.   I think Joe did some time, but mainly, Bert did time in the jail that was rightfully Joe's time, so Joe now 'owes' Bert.

What p*sses me off most about Bert is the EastEnders writers trying to make him into some comedy 'stereotypical'  Northerner.

My husband and mother-in-law, both from York,  were both saying that they have never heard anyone who sounds like Bert or uses his expressions.  His accent is what someone who has never been in the north might imagine what a northern accent is like.

Yes and the appropriate drama ensued in the square.  I think it was Stacey Slater who spilled the beans at the Vic.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
