Johnny had a heart attack in prison whilst trying to phone Jake to tell him to bump Sean off.

Ruby fired Jake, blaming him for what happened to her dad, and he decided to leave Walford but as he was leaving the square he was approached by what seemed to be plain clothes coppers, the implication being that either Ruby or Sean (probably Sean) had reported him for killing his brother.

i got the impression those guys were hitmen...  remember Johnny's cell-mate said he knew people on the outside that would do a hit?   And as Johnny was dying, the cell-mate heard him muttering 'Jake Moon', so i reckon he thought Jake Moon was the guy to kill, rather than Sean.

Right. Thanks for the update on the Johnny/Jake thing!! We missed two weeks worth and are really struggling.

So Aubrey is an old friend of Patrick's and both of them thought they were Denise's dad??? But Aubrey isn't, so Patrick may still be???

And what was the SJ anticlimax?

And why did Ian forgive Jane the Grant thing and propose?

It's unreal - when you watch it every day it feels like the plot lines never progress but miss it for two weeks and you're stuffed!!!!

I don't think Ian did forgive her, she doesn't know he knows ... I think he's guilt tripping her.

The SJ anti climax was that Gary & Minty caught her in bed with Sid. Big surprise there!

Right.
She doesnt know he knows, and i reckon he is getting ready to pull the rug out from under her in a very nasty way.

Probably going to publicly humiliate her at the wedding by telling everyone about her affair with Grant.

What an utter disappointment.
I mean.. yay for Pauline being 'brown breid', but... they built it up so much that i was expecting it to be really dramatic or exciting in some way, and it wasn't.

What??? What happened??? I'm very sad about missing Eastenders while I'm in the States! I knew Pauline was leaving, but I didn't know how they were going to do it.

It was really dumb. She got a bump on the head and then later just kind of fell over and died next to Arthur's bench in the square. Also really dumb is the Stacey/Max thing. So I suppose now his wife will sleep with Sean to get even.

Oh, don't even get me started on the Stacey thing. That is such incredibly BAD writing. Before she started dating Bradley she wasn't into guys at all. Now she's the freaking seductress of the square. I don't freaking think so.

Why do they have to make her into another Kat? It's so boring.
