Did Anyone Else Know?
« on: April 07, 2014, 10:01:36 PM »
There's a TACO BELL in Manchester!!

I had a brilliant end to my day today. A lovely American lady from Ohio walked in my office today looking for work - we got to chatting for a bit and she told me that little tidbit.

I feel like I've been kept in the dark for the last two years!

I LUUUUURVE TACO BELL!  ;D

Yes!  And I have been there... it's in the Arndale Centre food court.  *BUT*... walk a wee bit further and in the Arndale Market (near the cheese stall and microbrewery) there is another Mexican takeaway that is MILES better!  I think it might be called Pancho's.  We will be in Manchester on Thursday and are really looking forward to going there again.  :)

Albatross thank you for this information!! It will be useful when I get a "Mexican" craving which I've already talked about on another thread! LOL..
Planning on making it if I cannot find it :)

I'm in Manchester right now, and went to look for this place today, but got a bit lost. Where exactly is it, from Arndale Centre?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's in the "Food Hall" (not the food court!) which is on the ground floor (in what I think of as the "old" section--it's not been redone). Mmmmmm. Yummy burritos!

Correct... Pancho's is not in the 'food court' bit where Taco Bell is (or whatever they call it there)... it's in the Arndale Market bit... where all the wee in-shops are.

If you are stood at the bar of the micro-bar, you can't miss it... HUGE yellow sign on the wall, just to the right if you are stood at the bar.  There's also a cheese stall and a vegetable stall very nearby, and the taxi rank is almost right outside.

Google says it's at 49 High Street.

According to their website, there are TWO Taco Bells in Sheffield!  We're going to Sheffield to celebrate my birthday in September, so if we can find them (probably the Devonshire Street one), we will definitely be going there.  Taco Bell is my favourite US fast/junk food, after Wendys... I'm sure some will judge, but hey... you like what you like!  :)

If there was a Wendy's in the UK my husband would be the one dragging me on a roadtrip! haha. And I hear ya. I enjoy Taco Bell. It's not "real" Mexican food, but it's quick tastes nice and I LOVE the nacho cheese sauce.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Omg I do miss Wendy's! And since I'm from Texas, I miss Whataburger! I agree about Taco Bell but it's America and when homesick, it tastes so good! Lol

Oh, I miss In and Out Burger, I only got to eat there a few times, but dang was it worth the 5-6hr road trip! haha. Never got a chance to try Whataburger, but I heard good things!

Wendy's was at least in town and so much better than McDonald's or Burger King.

Omg I do miss Wendy's!

There used to be a couple of Wendys in London back in the dark ages... one at Leicester Square and one at Heathrow. There might have been another one... I'm thinking Wood Green, but somehow that doesn't seem right, so I probably imagined that.

Walking through London one evening I was shocked to see so many Mexican cafés! I would scream if I saw a Wendy's tho. We've got a Papa Johns in Chester, tastes the same 😊
