Sent my Passport and now freaking a bit leave on the 16th for USA

Hey all,

I am a bit freaking. I sent my stuff for the UK Provisional. I sent out my application one day mail and they received it a few days before Easter. I just called to check on the progress and they have not work on me yet and the lady warned me that Monday is a holiday and no one will be working.


Now I am freaking out big time I wont have my passport when I leave on the 16th.

The only reason why i sent it because I had 4/5 weeks and I saw people on here had quick turn arounds.. also I sent fast delivery and included a self address envelope that is one day also for the return.

For yall who have experience what are the chances of me having my documents back. I must say I did have a brain lapse and did not account for the bank holidays in my timing calulations.

The processing time has sped up recently, but it's still something like two to three weeks turn around. I've found the dvla really helpful over the phone. If i were you id call on Tuesday and ask them to send everything back to you just to be on the safe side, unless they can guarantee that it is going to be processed asap.

I did call them back. The lady told me to call again Friday and it maybe processed by then. She said because it is currently with the department that will process it.

I said okay. If it not process Friday I will tell them never mind and just send me everything back.

Needless to say my nerves on are on level 1000 right now.
