DC to London!
« on: May 25, 2014, 05:23:09 PM »
Hello everyone!  I'm a hopeful expat that's visiting London (for the 2nd time) from DC this August.  My goals w/this trip are to see more of the country and possible locales I might be able to reside if I'm lucky enough to make it through the entire visa process (I'm petrified of this), and to also figure out how to move my career from here to there.

I'm a dental hygienist (graduated a year ago), and am paying off some school debt before leaving.  During that time I'll be doing some research and figuring out what my best options are when executing this.

Since I'm a city girl,  I'll be looking at English cities (London, Manchester, Leeds, etc), so PLEASEEEEEE any advice is more than welcome.  I'm COMPLETELY green and am excited and ready to learn!  Thanks everyone!  :)

Welcome from a Marylander! DC remains one of my favourite places. I live in London, I can try to give you answers to questions about living here (not so much the North, though).
It is difficult to speak adequately, or justly, of London. It is not a pleasant place; it is not agreeable, or easy, or exempt from reproach. It is only magnificent... the biggest aggregation of human life, the most complete compendium in the world.
