Temp living near Cobham that allows a dog

Hello all,

Our relocation company just informed me today that she can not find any Corporate Temp housing near Cobham that will allow our dog to stay with us.  She suggested we might have to leave him behind in the US for 8-16 weeks until our shipment of goods gets there and we can move into whatever place we rent.

Does anyone know of a Corporate Temp living place that will allow us to bring our small non-shedding dog with us in or around Cobham?

Some friends of mine had the same problem and I found them a holiday let that allowed dogs. Just google for dog friendly holiday let in Surrey and see if something suitable comes up, my friends rented a flat in Guildford for a month before moving into a long term let.

I don't think you'll find corporate housing that allows pets.  I have moved several times and had temp corporate housing each time.  I have always had to have someone watch my pets until I can secure permanent housing.  My animals flew over about 6 weeks after me to the UK.

Do be warned you will likely be very limited in permanent housing with a dog.  The UK rental market is quite different to the US market and it's difficult to find pet friendly properties.  They do exist though.

Thanks for the information.  I will have my relo person check out the holiday rentals, thats a very good idea.  I know one of the hotels allows dogs so that is always an option as well.

I so hope we find a home to rent that allows a dog. It would be very sad to have to leave him home as he has been a part of our lives for 10 years.

I know 3 expat families who live in Cobham and Weybridge rentals with pets, there weren't many rentals for them to choose from and there was a higher deposit, but it is possible.

Oh yes!  I didn't mean you wouldn't find something, just that you may not have a big choice.  You'll definitely get to have your pup with you.

Knowing that there are some rentals that allows pets does make me hopeful.
