Hello from Washington, DC (and sometimes NJ)
« on: November 02, 2004, 04:15:11 AM »
Hey all,

I'm a 19-year-old university student here in the US and I've joined this forum for, what I'm assuming is, the same reason as a lot of others...I'm an anglophile.  If you ask for a reason, well, I couldn't give you one.  I honestly have no idea.

Um, I'm actually kind of tired right now...and, I have to write my psych paper, so, I'll finish this later.  I just wanted to say a quick "hi" before melting into the background [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

ADDENDUM
Alright, so I'm back.  I'm going to try to flesh this little intro out...

Ok, maybe not -- I'm too distracted by all this election chaos!  I'll try again later :)

Yeah, I go to school at GW (George Washington University) -- where are you living now?

Woah, hey, I go to GW! I'm a Senior Fine Arts major.

How odd. I went to Maryland, but edited the George Washinton University Health Plan (in all its multiple glories) many years ago. A word of advice, and this is meant in a completely friendly way: Unless you plan to get a Ph.D. and teach, majoring in art or French will get you NOWHERE when it comes to the reality of job-hunting. So consider declaring a second, more practical, major.

Um....well...I'm happy with my major. But thanks for the advice, I suppose.

North Jersey :)  I'm assuming you're from/are living in Jersey?  What about you?

No, I'm actually from Long Island, but I do have a few friends in Jersey - I was just curious to see if you were another NY Metro area person.  ;)
