Just taking a look around.....and I don't see an area concerning finances living in the UK. Is that something that would be of interest to people? We are likely moving back in the future....could be NEAR future....and one of the things that is killing us at the moment is the Pound/Dollar rate......the Pound has kicked some Dollar butt in the last year and that is a serious concern for us. Once we are there.....not an issue. But....we figure we will need to move $450k in the first year when we move. Every 5 cents is a butt load of money.

Thanks. I sure wish I could do something to make the dollar a little stronger right now :)   If we move this coming Spring we'll just need to close our eyes and do it.

Yep, that exchange rate is nerve wracking!  Not only did the costs of visas go up in April, then they get even more expensive in June when the value of the dollar goes down!   :\\\'(

Someone really should do something about this matter, and as soon as I figure out who that is, I'll give them a good talking to!  [smiley=beadyeyes.gif]  ;)

If I did my figuring correctly....if the Pound goes up or down 5 cents, that makes a 23,000 Pound difference for us in the first year we move back. If it goes up anymore....I think we are putting off the move and hoping for a Pound retreat in the future.
