Jim Bob Smith

surname is Smith (AKA 'last' name)
first name is Jim
'other' is Bob...and as I recall from my application, I put first name and middle name in the other line

include grandparents, whether relevant or not

Is anyone else doing this from the United States besides me?! ::)

Sept 1.-Mailed Documents to Liverpool via UPS 2 day Worldwide Express
Sept 3.-Documents received at Liverpool....

Now the waiting game starts, hoping all the theories are correct...(staff has now been moved back over to do citizenship paperwork from doing all those summer passports and such and Sept. is the lull before the Christmas holidays, so they'll process on the quick)
One can hope anyway ;)

I applied from the U.S. On April 29th. It took them 16 weeks and 2 days to take my fees. Now over 18 weeks since I applied and they finally responded to one of my inquiries saying there is no centers for biometric enrollment in the U.S. They're hoping for October, but God only know when it will finally happen "but when we do you'll get a letter to enroll your information." So it seems from the US, expect nearly a year of waiting...

That doesn't seem right at all, seeing as you go to the US immigration centers to do the biometrics, at least that's what I've read this far, and haven't seen it taking that long from anyone, but looking at your prior posts, it seems you are applying under a different form?
I am a North Carolina girl born and raised, yes I love sweet iced tea, Texas Pete and biscuits and gravy....but England is where my soul feels at peace and I can't wait to get there.

Yes, my form is UKF which delivers to Liverpool and is based on family, not points or time based visas.  On another forum I'm on, the only people who haven't had problems are ones in other countries (or the UK obviously).  The exact words from the government were:

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding your application.
There is currently no facility for biometric enrolment in the United States of America. It is expected to be available from October 2015 and a biometric enrolment letter will be sent to you as soon as this becomes operational.

I wrote them back stating the fact that it does't make sense that the Homeland Security application support centers in the US are the ones who process biometrics for visas, so why can't they process for citizenship applications as well?!  I've been waiting 19 weeks and it's getting really absurd.

My mistake, yes I was reading up on the other forum as well and found the particular thread you're talking about. The only number is the one that charges you to speak to an advisor. The reason I had my doubts is that I too was thinking of the Homeland Security offices where they do the biometrics and it just seemed like common sense that those would be the facilities we would use. I don't understand this either. Maybe they will go through the application and then do the biometrics last? Hopefully there will be a resolution soon!
