Current naturalisation/citizenship waiting times

Once you receive the biometric letter, how much time are you given to complete it? I applied in early Sept and still have not received the biometrics letter. I'm starting to get concerned it may arrive during an upcoming 4-week trip abroad ...

NCS told me (and gave me a letter so I was aware) that it can take up to two months to receive your biometrics request then you have 15 days to get them done.  I did receive mine much sooner than the two months (about a month after applying is when I received mine).  Couldn't hurt to follow up with them and see if it was sent to you.

Aquila, congrats!  I'm still waiting for mine...applied July 22nd via NCS based on Marriage to BC (3yr residency).  Hopefully, I will hear soon.  Until then...nail biting continues.

Do you have the email address for the payment team? My bank also declined my payment and (after sorting it with the bank) I emailed nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk on the same day but no one responded. I had to wait 2 weeks to receive a letter and then send a new payment sheet back in the post. Too late for me, but being able to contact the payments folks directly could help others in the future.

This is all going along much faster than I thought.  Hopefully all those still waiting will hear something soon as well!

Just an update to say that I faxed the Home Office on Tuesday, then on Wednesday I received the biometrics letter (dated Monday). Like ships passing in the night ...
