I still have to do my passport. I'm just kinda sick of it all ATM, but will get to it soon.

That's a good problem to have though!  ;)

Just received husbands letter of approval of citizenship today which is obviously great! :) However, bittersweet day as both mine and OH passports were not with the letter and other returned documents (the letter specified they were included).... It has been reported to the police as there are some suspicious circumstances/evidence. Hey ho, looks like a drive to US embassy in London to get a replacement passport for OH.
Anyway, keeping positive after this long journey... just awaiting letter from local council and ofcourse arranging a new passport.

Timeline...

Basis: Marriage to UKC and 3+yrs residency
Application sent by post via recorded delivery: 25/06/2016
Email acknowledgment received: 07/07/2016
Biometric Letter received: 08/07/2016 (although dated 06/07/2016).
Biometrics completed at Post Office: 15/07/2016
Letter of approval received: 10/09/2016 (dated 08/09/2016)

:)

I'm on the last leg and so excited.  Looking at recent posts, it looks to average 2-3 months, is that about right?

Application posted - September 15th
Email confirmation of receipt - September 27th
Biometrics letter - September 28th
Biometrics completed - September 29th

And now we wait.  This step has seemed so ridiculously easy after the pain of the initial visa application and ILR.  It's almost difficult to wrap my mind around how straight forward it was.

Did anyone apply for citizenship in March? I had my NDRS appointment on 13 March and figured it would be months. But two people in another group that I am in applied just days before me and received their invitation letters more than a week ago. Wondering if they just got lucky? Also I think they’re both in London and I’m in Herefordshire; could geography have anything to do with it (as in waaaay fewer people will be attending ceremonies in Hereford than in London so they aren’t rushing mine)? Trying not to worry but.... Any advice/insights welcome. Thanks!

Yours shouldn't be long now. I've noticed that many of those using the online application (which you must have done if you had a NDRS appointment) are having
really exceptionally fast turn arounds, like 5 and 6 weeks!

Do not worry if it takes longer though, the service standard is 6 months, so best just to settle in for the wait and if it comes sooner rather than later, then great!  :)
