Hi everyone. Just a quick message to say still nothing. It's been 11 weeks. :( I am getting so worried.

Just an update on progress:

Don't worry - you're still well within what appears to be the 'typical' processing time frame for the past few months. Plus, if they needed more information you would have been contacted by now, and refusals seem to come pretty quickly.

The wait is sooooooooo hard though. I'm now in the passport application queue; sent it off on Tuesday, and got the text saying it was received on Thursday (yesterday). Hoping to get the letter about scheduling an interview next week.
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)
1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to provide an update for those of you who are waiting.

Sept 29: Submitted my application for citizenship using the NCS in Islington
Oct 9: Letter from Home office saying they had received my application and fee has been paid
Oct 10: Payment deducted from my account
Nov 18: Letter saying I had been granted UK citizenship, next citizenship ceremony will be on December 8th

Looks like I got very lucky with the quick processing times!

Timeline update:
Application submitted vis NCS on Nov 4. Application was scheduled to be delivered by 1300 on Nov 6. It's now the 19th, no acknowledgment and payment has not been taken. That's technically only 8 full business days, does that sound typical? Trying to stay relaxed, but I just want this long journey over...

The NCS folks should have given you a tracking number so you can see when the application was actually received.

It's a tad longer than some, but not overly long.

I got my passport interview letter today, and have scheduled the interview for Friday afternoon! I'm hoping all goes well and this time next week the passport will be in my hot little hand.

They did give me a tracking number; both girls have been sick for a week and DH is on a business trip - every time I go upstairs I forget to grab the file - will check that, thanks!

Good luck with the passport. If our older DD's UK passport renewal time is anything to go by, they've cleared that backlog - we mailed hers on Thur and had it back the following Tues last month!!

It was signed for on the 6th at 0805.  I guess I'll keep practicing being patient!

I applied on July 15th, application was received on the 16th. The acknowledgement letter was dated July 25th, but not received until the following week.

My 'available' bank balance showed the payment was pending on the 25th which must have been the day they processed the debit in the Liverpool office, but didn't actually show as a specific 'line item' until July 28th.

Hope that helps! If all else fails, call your bank....and the UKVI.....

Thanks! Just booked the ceremony.

I feel bad for those that have waited longer.  My coworker applied for his daughter 4 months ago and still has not heard anything...

That's just the way it works - I waited longer, you didn't. A year ago it would have likely been 4 or 5 weeks for most of us.

At least now the passport process appears to be moving quickly. My interview was yesterday, and went quite smoothly. All being well I hope to have the passport in hand in the next week or so.
