Ohhh, our wedding was just gorgeous! My groom wore his Northumbrian kilt, as did his Best Man and our Best Man's little boy! The Lord Mayor's Piper performed for us @ the ceremony and did a beautiful job; it was so moving! My precious husband started to cry as we read the poem we wrote to each other. It was out of a storybook and I felt like a Princess.
Ok, so now....we'll be heading to America to do it ALL OVER AGAIN! No ceremony this time but we'll be having a Christmas Wedding Brunch with 50 of my closest friends and relatives....my poor husband will be meeting EVERYONE for the very first time, HOLY!
So, in a fortnight I'm leavin' on a jet plane to spend time with my lovely grown kids and family and friends, to reconnect and do last minute preparations for the second leg of the wedding business, then.....as much as I hate leaving my Knight in shining armour, he'll join me a few weeks later. I'm going to miss him so very much though...
This wedding will be completely different...I won't be wearing my Victorian silk and lace because I'll freeze in NJ in December with that so I'm going for a crimson velvet Edwardian dress with matching jacket!
Then.....off to the British Consulate a few days later....omg I hope that all goes well! I can feel your good wishes that our flights will be safe and everything will be ok!
